Rio

Rio was abused, abandoned and about to be gassed at the county shelter when he was rescued by Barb. He was standoffish and skittish. I liked him because he was black and white, like a cat that I already had, but his ears where white rather than black, so the opposite. I thought it was cute. I don't know why but he just struck me, and I felt connected to him. Its been a year now but he has come around. He at first stayed under the bed for months and months only coming out at night to eat and use the litter box. Now he comes downstairs some, even during the day, and loves "lunch meat treats" when I make my husbands lunch for work! He is still easy startled, but has come a long way. He may never be a lap cat, but he can stay here at his forever home regardless! together!
