The CKAC Story
The Columbus Kitty Adoption Center was founded by Barb Knapp and Jenny Ellis with the mission of providing care for and ensuring the welfare of homeless animals, to find loving homes for cats, kittens and special needs animals and to help reduce over population issues through the promotion of spaying and neutering. The Columbus Kitty Adoption Center is a no-kill, non-profit, volunteer run organization located in and serving Columbus' German Village/Merion Village/Schumacher Place area.
The cats taken into our center are strays, many coming from situations where they were abused, injured or would not have otherwise survived. Our cats receive any necessary medical treatment as well as plenty of tender loving care and attention. Our center provides a home for these cats until they are adopted, whether it be for a short period of time or if they live out the rest of their lives under our care.
All of our loveable animals are available for adoption and waiting to find their forever homes. Columbus Kitty Adoption Center hosts an open house each Saturday between 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm with private appointments also available on a limited basis. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit our shelter please feel free to contact us.
Columbus Kitty Adoption Center could not operate without the generous support of our volunteers and benefactors. In order to help us fulfill our mission to care for the less-fortunate animals in our area please consider making a donation, providing material support, or volunteering to aid our organization.
